I get that, but what I’m ultimately saying is the ones who would’ve been involved in the slave trade were at least “honorary white”.
Most CACs don’t consider Spaniards “white”, but clearly that didn’t matter in the context of the slave trade.
Personally I don’t even believe it was primarily Jews involved in it anyway, clearly it’s a deflection tactic.
Ultimately my argument is that even if that were the case, CACs aren’t off the hook because their demand for slaves supported the supply.
