When it has been made clear that the support for Owens here is specifically in the context of BLM and Patrisse Cullors being called out and the need for someone to do so because nobody else is. But somehow that equates to being a full fledged Candace Owens supporter

This is fukking stupid and was already proven wrong numerous times in the thread. PLENTY of people have called them out already, other BLM chapters were calling them out long before right-wingers got on the wave. But you ignore the people who actually care about the issue and then run to praise the woman who is literally carrying water for white supremacists.
You can't "put pressure" on someone by lying in support of evil. Nothing Candace Owens does will create any positive change. On the right and possibly center it will merely turn more people away from giving a shyt about Black lives. On the left it will distract from the people who were actually calling out Patrisse and her crew with an honest critique and fukk up their message cause now they have to be worried about being associated with Candace Owens. Owens took a REAL issue that needed to be taken care of by people who agree that black lives matter in a REAL way and turned it into a mere political disagreement for personal gain.

Yes, small incremental change can come from your suggestions but they will not keep up with the rate of degenerate erosion eating away out our community.

The whole point of the previous thread was thinking how we can take two steps forward with the additional one step your suggestions will yield which combined will add additional momentum to our progress.

I don't take umbrage with a person (black or otherwise) being conservative. What I find unconscionable is voting Republican (at least in this current climate). Point is, I try to not immediately tune someone out because of the aforementioned. That's not playing both sides as you seem to be suggesting but rather disavowing absolutism of any sort. I don't solely enjoy your posts because they tend to reflect my beliefs... but also because they're well informed and cogent. Had never seen that congressional hearing and I agree it's awful. Fair game to call it out and it confirmed what I suspected but wasn't bothered to look into. I even said I didn't care for the woman. I still believe she made solid cases about black masculinity and more recently these BLM folks

I genuinely believe Candace Owens is mentally ill, either as a result of cognitive dissonance over a long period of time with her unadulterated grifting of white racists, or a fukked up childhood. Possibly both.
I did a deep dive on Candace Owens's origin story in HL and I think it's the former. She became a far-right conservative because her head already didn't work right, and now she legitimately believes the line she's spewing. Basically, she was a conspiratorial thinker in the extreme so whenever she latches onto a conspiracy she immediately believes anything that supports the conspiracy and disbelieves all evidence it. And right now, the "conspiracy" she's obsessed with is that Democrats are all engaged in a secret plan to trick Black people and Republicans are the true pro-Black heroes.
If you look at the shyt she was saying before she suddenly pulled a 180 and became a conservative, it was just as low-brow and garbled and conspiratorial as the shyt she says now. It wasn't like she was any more clear-headed then and went downhill, it's just that she hadn't yet found this particular cause to devote her life to yet.
