Canelo Will Only Fight Pacquiao at 154, No Catch-Weight - Boxing News


So, Canelo is basically saying "fukk you" to TR, Team Pacquiao, and anyone else trying to make him fight at 150 and says those days of fighting outside of his weight class is over.

He also says he learned that by fighting Floyd at 152 and will never fight outside whatever weight class he's presently in.

Sounds like he thinks he was a little drained by fighting Floyd at 152, but that's another story. As of now, unless Pacquiao agrees to fight at the full 154 weight limit, then a Manny Pacquiao vs Canelo Alvarez fight will never happen

I typically count the ODLH, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, & JMM 3 fights as catchweights......the only 1 who officially wasnt at a "catchweight" was ODLH, but he was obviously a Junior Middleweight who hadnt fought at the Welterweight limit in over 7 years. The other 3 were all catchweights though


Canelo doesnt even weigh in at 154 anymore, he weighs in at 155. Coming down to 150 would have him looking like the walking dead

plenty of more fights at 140 than at 154...

manny should just dump 147 and cut down on the pork and ham in everydamn filipino dish and get to 140.. he would be a beast at that weight...
