true. Over time, Poet Laureate 2 has definitely eclipsed How We Roll in importance. PL2 became a track that underground lyrical heads had to hear. and he's been releasing versions of PL 2 ever since. Albums full of them.

2nd Round Knockout and Poet Laureate 2 are his 2 biggest solo songs. Exactly, even many people who haven't heard Rip The Jacker heard Poet Laureate 2. And I wouldn't say that.

Beside PL2, Levitibus and Showtime of the Gallow are probably my most listened off RTJ. Genabis and SPartibus was dope too, but something about Levitibus, used to have it on replay daily

Indibisable was my shyt, along with Showtime At The Gallows, M-Sea Cresy too, loved the whole album, I'm gonna run it again soon thanks to this thread, Bis was an inspiring MC and writer.

Oh really, i never knew that, always liked the beat though. Brings back memories, I knew a lot of people who loved this album at the time, love Bis, amazing MC. He will go down in history, and I think overtime he will be appreciated even greater, he's one of the true greats, as a lyricist and MC, he's in my top 20 at least and he's still active.

I like 2000 BC and MiClub. Rip the Jacker is also dope but after that one Canibus went overkill with the pseudo intelligent rap and rhymes beats are not up to par.

I agree that I like all those albums. I think pseudo intelligent is the wrong phrase to use though as I think it was a chosen style, plus they weren't pseudo intellectual, they were highly intellectual and profound, for instance the tracks I've posted in within this thread, it may not be your or someone else's style, that is fair enough and understandable but it is very dope rhymes and intelligent content filled work.

Yeah maybe I worded it wrong. But canibus seems to sacrifice entertainment for content and has not been able to combie them for me to fully enjoy. Of course every now and then he still drops a hot track

That's reasonable man, I understand that style isn't for everyone, it's very raw lol, it's also abstract, some people like the kind of "make it plain" style, including myself actually, loved what 2 Pac, Melle Mel and others would do where they would just give you shyt straight to the point, others I guess are more inclined to a more abstract style. I guess it's just a matter of taste, personally I'm able to feel and appreciate the early and latter work, but I can completely understand why someone would have a different opinion cause it's more niche the latter style rather than being widely accessible, can be very abstract at times. Melatonin Magik the album was an interesting balance for me though, very solid to me.
