Cant sign into gmail on phone

I have an htc one m7
I did a restore
I can't log into my gmail account
Which means I can't sync my old contacts
And I don't have access to the play store

I get the message
Couldn't sign in
There was a problem communicating with google servers
Try again later

It's been like this all day
I tried a million times
Reset my phone a few times
And still nothin

I could log into the mobile site and it works fine there

Is there a trick to this?

Server probably just switched to Imap from Pop3, reconfigure the mail settings-or double check the password.

The password is right. My weather doesn't work either if I choose current location. If I choose my city then it works.

Yeah. I looked into that and I dont have that

I tried making a new one and used my existing name and it said it's taken. So that part works. Then I tried making a random one and then I got the same problem saying it can't connect to the servers

Now every name I try to enter gets the that name is unavailable message

So I downloaded a play store apk and it helped out at bit. My only issue now it's my location services. My weather app doesn't find my location neither does maps.

I'm not. It doesn't tell me that. It just says that the servers are unavailable.
