And actually SF4 did the same shyt they're talking about here. Things like huge reversal windows, simplified imputs and the ultra mechanic were all designed to help level the playing field and make it easier for scrubs to compete. I can only imagine what they're gonna do next :scusthov:

The gameplay in iv is already dumbed down enough as previously stated. They took out parry and air block to cater to defensive play and projectiles

Why not just make a new fighting game franchise that does this instead of trying it with SF? The community won't stand for it.

Ex moves, Ultras, forward and back dashing and meter management in General were not SF2 components either yet they were still implemented. They should at least give people the option in future games like they did in CVS2 for those with different playstyles.

I hope 5 isn't a reskinneed 4. Keep the og 12 characters and give us a new roster. Sadly there are to many fukk boys who will bytch if every single character from 4 isn't in the game. Characters they didn't even use.

I ain't even interested in SFV cuz it'd be a waste of money...... how many SFVs are they gonna release?

NR is ass. They have to patch that game a million times before it's playable.

Would you rather deal with free patches or having to buy the game all over again every 8 months or so to get the patches?

fukking capcom been screwing us out of money for years. They pretty much invented the DLC already on disc where you pay just to unlock it. Then the SF X Tekken fiasco where you gotta pay extra to unlock the rest of the characters who were also already on the disc.

Now pay to win... in street fighter? That sounds awful.

Fighting game fans are the worst. NRS has Warner brothers money for free patches.

Air blocking? Go play alpha 3. Parry? Go play Third Strike.

Ono already called bs on some higher up who has no involvement in game design. Game is 2 years away anyhow.

The next KOF (which is a better game than SF4) will have 3d models because SNK can't afford to go hand drawn again.

I'm just happy we still get fighting games that don't make any money in our lil niche genre. I'd rather get nickle and dimed than go through another 9 year drought or whatever it was.

If I wanted to still play alpha 3 or third strike I would still play them. If there were more new games out I probably wouldn't even play sfiv. If Capcom went under I wouldn't even care that much given that Namco NRS, are still around and some true next gen games are finally being displayed for ps4 and xbox1

I still want a new Street Fighter spin off with hand drawn graphics. Seeing games like Blazblue makes me wonder how awesome SF characters would look with modern hand drawn hd sprites

Yea they werent but the addition of those things didnt prevent SF4 from being SF2 like

The addition of parryin and air blockin would as noted by your initial post on how it would negatively affect the zoning strategy that is essential in SF2
