Capitalism + a 2 party system with drastically different ideologies = a canabilistic middle class.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
The "middle class" is divided and probably the most selfish income demography.

Republican middle class voters don't care if economic policies hurt other middle class voters so long as those policies don't affect them.

Republican middle class voters who couldn't keep up with globalism and technology want to get back to being middle class even at the detriment of everyone else.

The crazy thing is, rich people are going to stay rich regardless of who is in office. They can absorb recessions, high taxes and inflation. Why, because they can simply lay off middle/lower class workers, cut hours or simply move to a different state with less regulation.

Lower class minorities have simply adapted. They also benefit from entitlement programs (as does lower class white voters).

So whats left is a middle class demo literally caught in the middle. They appear to be the least adaptable, have the biggest since of entitlement and are flat out selfish. They could give 2 fukks if a new ice age spawns so long as they get their factory job back. They would rather repeal a health care law (that they benefit from) so long as they get the job back that contributed to them needing medical care in the first place.

They also have to biggest slave mentality. They are programed to work 40+ hours a week all while resenting the upper class that pays them and shytting on the lower class below them.

Unfortunately they have strong voting power and will fall for any message they think will benefit them.

You're a very below average thread starter. You're not a terrible poster or anyone worth ignoring, but when it comes to starting threads, I'm often left feeling like "so what" or :dahell: after reading one of your threads :ld:

What point are you trying to make, what discourse would you like to start? Or did you simply feel the need to mic drop a smart dumb post saying close to nothing?

Good thread.
The middle class and people whose status/situation has recently lowered (or their perception) have always been the most susceptible to mass movements and extremism.

Suggest everyone read this book the true believer by Eric Hoffer. It's about mass movements and the people drawn to them. Very relavent especially today. PDF below.

Its not capitalism and it isn't a 2 party system, its crony capitalism, fiat currency, and war mongering that is killing the middle class and creating either very poor or extremely wealthy classes

Adam Smith in the Wealth of Nations said that capitalism creates an inevitable underclass.

Literally the guy who wrote the book on capitalism predicted this 300 years ago:francis:
