The Pillage 1 was crack, most of his Wu verses are dope.

His verse and delivery on the necklace was straight crack. That dark savage style is the type of shyt he needs to be rapping on.

My theory is on Cuban Linx & Ironman Cappa used up nearly every good verse he had written down before he rejoined the Wu after his bid. As his notebook started running dry starting with Forever, Cappa got extremely hit & miss. On the Pillage, the beats and guests make the album dope but Cap is the weakest element. From there, Cappa freefalls from talent and, outside a track here or there, most of his discography & guest spots from 00-now are the opposite of good and should be avoided.

This album wasn't the pillage so I don't know why he named it pillage 2. Unless his rhymes and style are meant to be a sonic pillage. Cap flow still sounds fresh after all this time even if his rhymes are kind of rehashed. He does shine on 65% of this album. Some of the subject matter is really inspiring and upbeat. Sounds like Cap has been through hell and made it back with new outlook. The beat selection is pretty good imo. Most of the sound fits his delivery. Except the very last track noteably, which is a shame because the beat is funky with lots of west coast flavor. Cappadonna shows his growth on this album. Much respect to him for having his own album without the Wu Tang regulars.
