Marvel needed to let Sam cook in a movie or two before this tbh. The shift from Steve to Sam was too jarring and it still feels like Sam is some third-stringer instead of Captain fukking America.

It’s clear what happened.

Falcon and The Winter Soldier wasn’t received that well so they decided to make this movie from an unused Hulk 2 script.

If you didn’t watch The Disney + show which many people didn’t you will be lost. This movie does a bad job of establishing Sam’s supporting cast which get sidelined for Hulk characters.

Movie was dope to me. Much better than what i thought it was going to be. The only real negative I saw is that movie felt disjointed at times. The movie went through massive rewrites and reshoots and it felt glued together at parts. It felt like they had a bunch of plot points they wanted to hit, and didn’t stitch them together well. If the movie was longer, I wouldn’t have enjoyed the movie as much, but the movie was the perfect length to keep it enjoyable

I saw this last night, real solid movie. It's better than a lot of recent Marvel movies/shows besides Deadpool and Wolverine (which was really the only Marvel movie I even saw in theaters since Thor: Love and Thunder, which was ass). Mackie was cool, nothing groundbreaking nor terrible his chemistry with new Falcon felt natural, but I liked FATWS too. Bucky cameo was nice.

Oh, and Carl Lumby as Isaiah Bradley

The post credit scenes are more for the audience than the characters in the movie. You think Tony Stark knew what the Avenger Initiative was in Iron Man 1?

they should consider making them good then. "more characters are coming!" no shyt. post credits have become either vague waste of time crap or introducing lame characters we're probably never gonna see again. they don't have the impact they used to

A young Carl Lumbly would've been a great Black Captain America.

He's always been an amazing live and voice actor. Doesn't get enough credit.

Michael Jai White would've killed it.

Clarence is a safe actor. He doesn't play edge at all. He looks like he folds and irons all his clothes perfectly and doesn't use profanity.

He's the Ned Flanders of black people.

Love White but he's way too old. Aldis Hodge would be a good fit, maybe even Trevante Rhodes

Spiderverse and Deadpool Wolverine had me thinking Marvel might be all the way byke…this movie was…disappointing.
