I give it a 7/10. Not bad but Felt like something was missing..action scenes weren’t fire to me compared to the other cap movies.

I never watched The Hulk so the callbacks didn’t do anything for me.

Edit: Overall this movie was good and it's not a flop, it's the second highest grossing movie of the year so far. It's getting a lot of unfair criticizim because of IMO.

If I have to nit pic, This movie played it safe in every way. Sam was watered down as a hero to make white people feel safe; [no edge no love interest.] End result is a hero that No one finds compelling.

All the anti fascism themes from the first Captain America movies are gone. [Hydra hero registration act]

They don't tell Isaiah Bradley's backstory so You don't get a sense of why it's important for Sam to get him out of prison; the movie lacks stakes.

Japan as the political adversary? Lol.

Not everyone saw Falcon Winter Soldier.

I think they should have shown it rather than explaining it through exposition. A WW2 flash back of Isaiah and some black soldiers could have had more impact and given this movie some historic substance.

*3rd (two Chinese films have grossed more). Anyway, the year just started, so this isn't saying much, lol. It also released when no other major blockbuster films were in theaters.

BNW is definitely going to drop down in the box office standings as the year progresses.

Yeah, I've talked about this before; Marvel have completely dropped the ball when it comes to Shang-Chi. He should've had a cameo in one of their Phase 5 films.

this is what a full year looks like. which puts falcon as a flop (given its budget) around no. 17.
