Car automatic start-stop system turn it off or leave it on?

How are yall dealing with this? I'm trying to adjust to it. Every day I have to turn it off if I don't want it on because the next day it reactivates.

It’s too hot down here to turn it off, it lowers the AC drastically .Also we can’t do cold so it stays on in the winter too

Leave it on. The starter isn't the traditional Bendix type that will wear out and leave you stranded.

It does save an average of 2 mpg in city driving.

this is intentional, it's for homologation so the fuel mileage is higher for CAFE purposes. post your car and i'll see if there's an easy workaround, tho i'd only turn it off if you find taking left turns at busy intersections annoying, or if it does some dumb shyt like disable your a/c.

A start stop starter motor can deliver 500,000 starts because it's built differently than a normal starter. A normal one is only rated 50,000.

You can turn it off through vehicle settings. No need to spend money.

The stop/start battery died in my car months ago and I never bothered replacing it… never saw the point of one in a V8.
