If you budget for it you'll be all right. I ran the numbers several times over a few months and made sure I could cover monthly expenses without having to stop saving 10%. I bought used and put a bigger down payment than I originally intended, but it put payments in a more manageable range. But because I went in knowing the max I could afford, I'm able to pay enough to knock a year off the loan.
I still second guess the decision though. When I was doing the paperwork the dude was talking about upkeep costs. On the outside I was like

I'm trying not to drive it too much, at least not while I'm toeing the line financially, so that I don't need to pay for something if it goes bad. I'm still driving the tank of gas they gave me when I left the lot
