Just purchased a used 2010 Lexus GS. Just wondering what are the weekly, daily, monthly things I should do to keep my car at his highest potential. I know there some car heads up in here, so I was wondering what are the type of things you do too.

In terms of scent too. What are some of the best car freshners yall use. The type of shyt that as soon as a chick comes in she like :ahh:

Do you have leather seats? Buy a bottle of car leather cleaner/conditioner. Doesn't have to be fancy or expensive. Use that monthly on all leather surfaces. Maybe every three weeks during the summer.

Don't bother with ArmorAll wipes. If you want to clean hard interior surfaces, just get the ArmorAll spray and an old t-shirt.

Get 'Invisible Glass' for the windows and mirrors. It's better than Windex.

Don't get car fresheners if your car already smells normal. Those are for hoopties where you need to cover up years of nasty body odor, crotch funk, and spilled food and drinks.

Get good floor mats. You don't want to bring in crap from your shoes and wiping that on the carpet. Crap being actual dog doo-doo, food, mud, gasoline, dirt, etc. Clean out the floor mats and vacuum every two months or so.

I don't know if you plan on washing the car yourself but if so i'd start with a good detail. Either do it yourself or pay someone to come out and give the car a good clay treatment to get all the impurities out. Then you'll want to buy supplies and work on perfecting your two bucket wash method.

Most of the people you'll find on Youtube will be using a foam gun , two bucket method to keep the dirt out of the brush or mitt that your using, and a air nozzle for drying. But i'm just using a soap dispensing nozel, two buckets, fine bristled brush, and shammy...seems to work fine.

As for interior I think you have already received some great advice.

when I had my own garage I used to spend anywhere from 5-6 hours thoroughly detailing my Audi. (it took longer depending on how dirty the car was) I'm talking no rock was left unturned. it got to the point when my homies would see my car they actually paid me to do their car up too when summertime came around because they were always like "damn, your whip looks almost too clean :whoo:". I always keep these kits in my collection.

either of these come with different high quality cleaners that you would need for complete tip top care, and I'm assuming that's what you want since you own a 10' Lexus and not a 94' Kia.
and even though those kits come with their own brand of tire/wheel cleaners. SONAX Wheel Cleaner is one of the best ones you can buy.
obviously you'll need rags, buckets, sprayer hose with adjustment settings, brushes, sponges. (Although you can give the car a hand wash using nothing but your hand, it gives you the piece of mind that you won't scratch the paint up) and if you u wanna get a complete detail. it's good to learn and invest in machines and clay bar kits. that's my 2 cents.

you can use Carnuaba Wax as a coating shield after you wash your rims, it won't keep the brake dust completely off, but it'll be easier to wash off cause of the wax barrier.
