The cost depends on your wheel dimensions. Certain dimensions are less common therefore they cost a lot more. I habitually purchase Bridgestone Potenza RE003s, which are an excellent tyre and will provide insane grip for any vehicle under 300kW, which that's most quick cars covered by that.

Anyway on my old car which ran 235/45/R17 wheels, it was only $200 per tyre, and they had a buy three get the fourth free offer on top.

With my current car I run 225/35/R18 which is a really uncommon dimension. The cost of the tyres shot up to $259 per, and this time they didn't have a special offer so I had to pay around $1200 :mjcry:

It's the same exact tyre, but the different sizes of the wheel makes all the difference in price

Never go cheap on tires. That’s your lifeline. Easily the determination between a life or death situation. Besides tires are good for 50k+ miles. That’s like 3-4 years. It’s worth it.

:francis:I spent like $700(after everything was done) for my Cruze & but after that City wide Chicago Ice-capades from last week, I’m glad I had mine ready to go. :win:

speaking of which, it’s time for an oil change :damn:

I humbly and respectfully disagree. The only thing they have in common is the fact that they happen to be round and made of rubber

:hhh::hhh:

Continental focuses more on regular passenger cars like Honda, that’s they’re bread and butter. They happen to make some performance tires because it’s good for revenue.

Michelin is in the performance game. Period. Even the cheap regular Michelins are outstanding. They also performed better in braking and weather tests. I can LITERALLY do 90 in the rain and my car won’t let up. Even when I put my car in dynamic handling mode, she still grips tight.

I can comfortably do 80 plus in a corner and my car grips:jawalrus:

You just have to experience it to understand

yeahu drunk i do all this in my continentals

Y'all really buying tires just for the summer? :picard:

I run Michelin Pilot A/S 3's on my spring/summer/fall vehicle, store it in the winter, them tires do not work in snow plus the car is rwd.

As for pricing, under a $1K is not bad at all. I run 225/35/19's and 265/35/19's and they were around $950. My 2nd set of aftermarket wheels has Pilot Sport AS4's, those were $1,100.
