His already known physical abilities would get him drafted. What would improve his stock the most is polishing his game. You can't do that at the combine in t-shirts and shorts. If he played at literally any other position then he's gone no matter what. Quarterback is the one position where teams want to see a more polished/seasoned player.

And again, he was not "guaranteed" to be a first rounder. That's why he is going back. If he plays well next season, he will then be guaranteed as a first rounder, and almost surely guaranteed to be a top 10 pick. The difference in money between a top 10 pick and a 3rd or so rounder is enormous. And if he's top 10, he won't have to sit in the NFL for 3 years, but would likely have a chance to play earlier. Makes more sense.

I didn't say he was guaranteed to be a first rounder. You said he was projected to go 4-5th, which was not true at all. Most people were saying 2nd and a few said 3rd, but anyone who follows the NFL knows that had this big motherfukker thrown well and ran an decent enough 40 time. he would probably gone in the First round. What's revolutionary about that? Bum ass QB's stay getting over valued in the NFL draft. You've seen it with Manziel, EJ Manuel, Blaine Gabbert, Brandon Weeden, Christian Ponder, Tim Tebow etc...What is you saying man?

Considering the fact that his three games as a starter were against Wisconsin (a top 3 defense statistically), Alabama (top 10 defense), and Oregon (national championship game), I would say that 62% is not bad at all. It's actually good when he was thrusted into the position after sitting for the entire season and only playing when it was a blowout. He hasn't had his cupcake/pad stat game. Or his middle of the road conference opponent stat pad game. Or his bottom of the conference stat pad game.
