You can respect the person and not respect their job, you can also think someones a pos but respect their profession. Being lawyers, doctors, etc is hella hard work and costs a shyt ton of money. This is somewhat like the "why do men who are promiscuous get respect while women who are dont?". Because it takes work for men to get laid. All women gotta do is exist. All strippers and whores gotta do to make money is throw their self respect in the bushes, and when you do so, you really cant expect others to respect your means of doing so. They objectify themselves and wonder why people see them as objects before human beings.
