If you don't write your raps, then you shouldn't win best rap album. Period. She's a pop artist and that's cool. But put it in another category or at least create a different rap/pop category.

The issue I have isn't with Cardi, it's with mainstream "awards" shows like the Grammy's that don't car about rap music in general enough to differentiate the difference between a pop album and a rap album. There are so many different spectrums in hip hop to where you shouldn't have to compare a Nipsey record to a Cardi B record.


But if the artists are going to keep holding a platform like the Grammy's to such a high regard, then there is nothing else to be said. And the fans definitely don't care.
