Nicki did the song with Nas, sought sample clearance from Tracy Chapman, Chapman said no, and Nicki leaked the song to Hot 97 the night her album dropped, resulting in Chapman suing her and Nicki having to pay $450k.

That has absolutely NOTHING to do with Jay-Z.

One of the smartest things Nas could have done was not take this crazy banshee seriously.
