Yeah the fake afro makes her look like a character. I appreciate what she is trying to do for the culture but I think she should try different styling options. No one walks around with huge afros anymore. She looks dated. BW are wearing their hair is many different natural styles now-a-days. She just needs a more current style
The Afro is fine.

She needs to keep it.

Many black kids have hair just like her.
I hate seeing kids with an Afro and their Mom with a platinum weave.

She should definitely keep the Afro.

Why is this chick getting all this attention all of a sudden? Is it because of a breakfast club interview?

Nah i was talking about you saying that she shouldn't wear a fro and that she "needs" a more current style.

I would go as far as to say that her iconic style is helping her standout even more, not the opposite

I don't agree. It's all about her hair. Like almost evey time there is a discussion it's about her hair. I watch her on L&HH and she let that dude carry the shyt out of her several times about her hair and then just pouted about it and then expected others to fight her battles. So I mean, she is attractive regardless. She doesn't need the distraction especially when she really doesn't have the balls to stand up for it. Just seems like a waste of time to me. I'd rather the focus be on her music. If it was her hair I could understand but it's a damn weave breh. Just seems very disingenuous to me. :manny:

Amara has all the mainstream chicks nervous...ALL. of em. :sas2:

Bad dark skinned women intimidate everyone!!!

@Booksnrain went into great detail about this

It’s like how dare u be beautiful AND dark

Gonna be funny watching black women side with the wannabe black, ratchet, mutt Indian bytch over a real "Afro Latina" that has actual talent.
It’s already happening on social media.

I peeped it on Instagram today.

Amara has quite a few black women in their feelings right now

She’s been the breakout star of Love and Hip Hop Miami. And she’s low key flawless. Plus, her whole storyline on the show is hella controversial and there’s a big racial component to it

The representation of natural hair in the BC is an all-time high. No one is shunning natural hair. If anything it's celebrated. Her weave doesn't need to the light at the end of the tunnel. AA been there and done that.

Break out star of L&HH? :wow: what a time to be alive....

But thanks, I was curious because I know shes been around for awhile.

The only reason i even started following her on IG awhile back was because of the fro, otherwise she would have just been another pretty face. Fro is def her money shot.

Interesting...

The only reason this girl is getting mainstream attention is because she’s sparked a skin color debate. Yet it’s cardi who got put on because of her skin color :rudy:.

I don’t remember anyone even talking about skin color in regards to cardi.

I’m not trying to take away darker women’s struggles, but for it to be this constant: it’s cause you light skinned, people like you because you light, it’s easier for you. FOH. It’s super annoying. People have said this same thing to me in real life. Family and associates (used to be friends). Why are you blaming me? I didn’t choose this color.

Nah b I just have a sparkling personality and I’m cute. :camby:

I’m not trying to war with other black women because of this dumb nonsense, but it always seems to be an issue :snoop:.
Why do light skin women feel under attack every time colorism is bought up :heh:

No one is mad at u for being light mama.
