How is he not suspended? 
He had DUI problems in Notre Dame and was suspended there but Fitzgerald vouched for him and we drafted him becsuze he was his boy and knew him since he was 13. Now after he was released Fitz released this statement:
“I can’t give you my true feeling because people might get upset with what I really feel, but Mike is like my brother,” Fitzgerald said before the Patriots signed Floyd, via WEEI’s Christopher Price.
“I’ve known Mike since he was 13 years old; we come from the same place. I love him dearly.”
Apparently he wasn't the only one upset with his abrupt departure. Front office could've bench his ass and we could've received a pick when he signs somewhere else. Now we get nothing.

I'm glad he's gone. A message needed to be sent after the season we're having. Floyd has been getting worse by the year and he can't even have a decent season during a contract year? He clearly has no problem with being mediocre.

Innocent till proven guilty plus he can appeal. Most likely 2017 pending on the outcome.

Wasn't Greg Hardy (and others) suspended before any legal action took place?
Hardy was put on the Exempt list by his own team(Panthers) and was suspended by the league after the trial was over and after The league found sufficient credible evidence that he violated violated the Personal Conduct Policy. He was suspended by the NFL 10 games without pay before he played for the Cowboys the following season. Same with Adrian Peterson, he was put on the exempt list by his own team.
