Career Resources Thread

This is going to be a thread with links to programs that will help you go from a job to a career. I only know Detroit but people from other cities can and are encouraged to add on.

If you are interested in the trades See-Metro has Access For All, which is a 9 week UNPAID program that will get you your OSHA 30 cert, First Aid Red Cross cert, prepare you with math skills if you are lacking, and get you connects. Just give the Dearborn office a call.

Henry Ford has Cisco Academy, which teaches networking and helps you prepare for cert testing. I plan on attending in the fall.

Red Hook on the Road

This link is a FREE program called Redhook on the road. A free truck program that trains you for a month behind the wheel to become a truck/school bus driver. They also deal with training Felons and ppl that been convicted.
