The Coli
why was this moved ? @Barnett114 @Houston911 ? This is important information the public needs to know so they dont browse from their home PC until everything is cleared

No one comes to this sub forum

what the fukk yall been doing lately :what:

this thread and information does nothing for the coli and the users that use the coli for it being moved to this sub forum

:camby:
Appreciate ya concern, I moved it. I spend over $1k a month just on security for this site, you have nothing to worry about. It’s certain things that’s not secure like images or something like that, I forgot what they said when I made a ticket about it a while ago. I thought I fixed it but apparently I didn’t. I’ll look into it over the weekend.

Be safe fam
I'll never log into this site from my home computer.. not worth it.. :mjlol:

Pictures can contain malware through the website linking them etc

as example as im posting this, the site is not secure on my end, so if someone had ill intent and posted an image that linked to a bad site, it could infect my PC if i dont have anti virus

It’s something hosted on here I’m talking about that causes it say unsure after it loads or something alone then lines.

Even if the site had the ssl setup perfect n all that and someone linked some kind of malware or something, an ssl isn’t gonna block that for you and stop you from anything bro as far as I know. I don’t have any virus protection on my Mac that I’ve had since 2013 (first couple of years I was on here 10+ hours a day on that Mac) and I’ve never had any viruses or anything from here or anywhere else. The security I pay for keeps the site safe & secure, not the SSL cert.
What HTTPS does not do

  • HTTPS Does not scan the content being served by the website for viruses or malicious elements
No, HTTPS does not necessarily mean that a site is not malicious. HTTPS means very little as to the security of a site. It's specifically geared to keep your communication with the site secure from eavesdroppers and tampering, but offers nothing as to the security of the site itself.

Yes, a site serving content over HTTPS has a certificate. That means that the individual who requested the certificate from the CA has an email address that is associated with the domain. Except in the case of Extended Validation certificates (the ones that offer a green address bar) this is literally all it means. Nobody from the CA is validating that the site is safe, secure, and not serving malware. Any site, with an SSL cert or without, can have bugs and vulnerabilities that allow an attacker to leverage them to serve an exploit. Or a admin or user who has the ability to either maliciously or unknowingly cause the site to serve malware. Even if the site itself does not, if it serves advertisements (or any other content, for that matter) from an ad network or another site, that could be vulnerable.

So, HTTPS means that nobody should be able to view or tamper with your traffic. That is all that it means.

Bringing this back up again because it’s been showing an insecure connection for me for some time.

Yeah I thought I got banned earlier because my Brave browser went nuts :picard:. Talking about security measures and blocking me from the site.

check the certificate and make sure nobody is running a MiTM attack on you.
