I think the gaslighting part is trying to frame it as people haven't been coming at SAS. Going at a nobody like Beadle wont mean anything to him in the long run. Beadle/Whitlock are outcasts. If going at Crockett/trying to line up a Trump interview and all that shyt havent impacted him yet, Beadle or lil side beefs wont.
Him vs McAfee is what can jam him up and he been keeping that shyt close to the chest.

99% of the people on this board wont be eating crow because we know that's the play, he actively slowly pivoting that way now. He only started really mingling with the "black" pods and shyt when he was trying to get his numbers up for his youtube show. That coupled with taking credit for taking Shannon in and saving him, all that was in service of propping up his youtube channel.
Seems like some of yall cant compartmentalize shyt. Yes SAS is a c00n and all that, but he is also right in this instance going at Cari and Beadle.
SAS isnt at the top of the hill he wants to be climbing. He wants more than to be known as a sports talk guy. He wants to be at the top of media, not just sports media. He wants the late night hosting gig and rub shoulders with more famous people. He also wants what McAfee has and looks to him as the blueprint. (he said it himself). So all this engagement helps boots his views and channel.
He’s not at the top though. He hasn’t made it. That the point. Stephen A is still building his personal platform outside of ESPN. He’s “made it” in that world but has bigger aspirations. He’s just using shyt like this for content to keep driving attention to his podcast. Plus he obviously has always wanted to respond to Beadle and Whitlock and the rest, but he’s always been handcuffed by being on ESPN. Now that he realizes how much leeway and power that he has since signing his contract, he’ll probably engage in even more petty shyt.
