Yes it would. He's not taking the stand before a judge it's ESPN. The only reason he's there is a promo run. He should have been prepared to shut that line of questioning down. "That's in the past and I'd rather not revisit it." If she asks again, "Like I said it's in the past and I'd like to move forward." She won't ask a third time. Control the situation. Answering those questions only allows ESPN to run clips of him discussing domestic violence. Say nothing and they have no material.

True, but that's different than actually saying "no comment." A no comment is just going to piss her off and push the issue, the bolded is giving an answer without giving too much. Champion or her producers wouldn't let a no comment go without making Floyd come off as some kind of a$$hole when it's all said and done. And whose to say that she wouldn't bring up the jail time herself. She just comes across as a "can't let shyt go" type of woman.
