Good to know. Was everyone okay eventually? Sorry to hear that.

yeah, it killed people that had pre-existing conditions such as kids and older people, my family and friends have alot of joint problems after getting it though, it makes you very weak and in pain and they say the virus lives in the body up to a couple of years. It has been contained big time now since the outbreak, you have people spraying the town all the time to kill the mosquitos, the larva had gotten out of control before. Its still out there but just not as bad.

Werd its not a big deal.

My cuz back in the islands got it while she was pregnant and so far the baby is doing fine.
That's good to hear :salute:

I was down there in august and never tripped of off catching anything but I hit my dad a few months before and he said it wasn't really anything to worry about....

May hit some Dutch and French islands as well.

Jamaican Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller announced on Monday that her country is in a "national emergency" this week after the outbreak of the chikungunya virus.

I went down earlier this year when people were freaking out about the initial outbreak hitting the French islands. That was when it was unknown and some slight reason for panic.
