the problem with Shelton Benjamin was he was complacent [even JR felt this way] he was comfortable in that spot he was in and didn't try to improve his mic skills or add much substance to his overall performance level when the company wanted to push him to another level

Even just looking at his career you can see that's not entirely true....There was like a year when dude tried changing his look three or four different times.

It's this fukked up weird environment where they insist on people pushing to get attention but when someone actually pushes to get attention they get punished for it.

Austin and Jericho used to say similar things about guys "not wanting" but recently they both admitted that the enviorment backstage is different than it was when they were working because guys are afraid of speaking up because they get punished for it.

some people arent born to be BodyGuys so they have to settle for being a midcarder, also if people think Cena is corny, idk how they cant see that D Bry is just as corny if not more corny than Cena, and not in a good way

now that Carlito is a bodyguy and can still put at least 50% effort, he can be the face of WWE and main eventing

i thought carlito had a decent move set and was pretty exciting at times :manny:

hes also better on the mic than a lot of the guys they have now IMO, at least hes creative. right now theres some boring ass wrestlers out there as far as personality
yup

it's a damn shame alot of the midcarders from that era didn't reach their potential. alot more colorful and entertaining the most of the the current deadwoods in the E right now. MVP, Carlito, Hassan>>

Hassan is the only guy i know who was a Vince project that was unanimously legit hated by the locker room, after hearing Davari talk about it. I know he had that whole UK controversy thing but Vince should've fought for him seeing how that was something he personally was building as a superstar

The current crop of guys are probably much better than we realize. it's difficult to show what you can do when everything you say is scripted, you got a stupid gimmick, and you're only given 5 minutes to put on a match.

Nope...Carlito was putting in work was getting a push, then he got moved to Raw and suddenly his push disappeared. He actually started trying new things in the ring and with his gimmick and seemingly got buried for it (despite being over). He even said he started not giving a shyt because he kept trying to get more things to do but the ignored him.

That "lazy" bullshyt is said about virtually everyone. They said the same thing about Shelton, MVP, and Charlie Haas. In the case of Haas and MVP it was stupid since they both asked for their release so they could go work somewhere else.

If they ever release Zack Ryder they'll claim he was lazy too.
Yes....Carlito was lazy as all fukk. He lost muscle definition, his matches were becoming terrible and formulatic, and hell they even turned into a storyline on television with Flair calling him lazy in promos and them feuding because EVERYONE thought so.

As far as MVP, Shelton and Haas being lazy, I have never heard that. Anywhere. None of those guys were lazy. Link me to something on the internet that says people thought those guys were lazy - a video, a news article, something. I will wait.

I can see you are a Carlito stan (you have to be the first one I have seen), but facts are facts breh. I don't even hate Carlito, I was almost always a fan.
