the godfather 2
the godfather 1
I hate Leguizamo till this day
godfather 1 & 2
city of god
gomorrah (personal favorite)
carlitos way is top ten
I havent seen it in years but I don't remember it blowing my mind the way Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino, or even Donnie Brasco did
Maybe i need to rewatch
Carlito should've took Benny seriously
‘Once upon A time in America” should be mentioned in that list too
Carlito being a "hustler" as supposed to gangster makes the movie more relatable imo.
that rape scene
how the protagonist u supposed to root for out here raping bytches?
that one has some incredible moments like the one on the poster and the scene where they kill the guys during the deal, as well as one of the great soundtracks. its just so long though, and it takes a while to really get going
that shyt was brutal. i wouldnt have minded it as much if de niros character was less sympathetic in the rest of the movie. also jennifer connellys character showing up years later and seemingly being chill about it was
Noodles was a hoe and insecure as fck. But it’s still an underrated movie.
shyt was supposed to be over 3 hours.i hear the directors family is trying to restore it back to its original length. The director was depressed over an hour of the film being cut for the American version.
the version i watched was four hours. i think its closer to leone’s ideal one but the amount of studio meddling means we’ll never see his original vision
The Godfather 1-2, Goodfellas, and City of God are my top 4. I’m not sure what would take the fifth spot. Maybe Casino.
