This is Phil Jackson's fault, what would possess you to give Melo a no trade clause in his contract. It's clear Melo is not interested in winning a ring until this contract is over. He knows once this contract is up he'll be 36 and can pick and choose to go to a contender and be on a team and get a ring.

A lot of Knick fans are in win now mode but they have to understand that they aren't going to win anything with melo because there is no immediate help in FA that is coming. They have no tradeable assets to get better immediately outside of melo and KP. The only way you win now with melo is to trade KP and we know that's not happening so why not trade melo let him go to a contender and rebuild?

I admire the fact he wants to win in NY but i dont know how much longer he can wait for help that might never come.

While Melo already stated that he wasn't approached about the Celtic trade. Ainge was ready to get a big 3 together. Seems similar to when they tried to get KG. KG was like nah I'm good but once they put allen along with pierce KG changed his mind. I could see something like that happening in the off-season.

All these folks talking about Bill Russell hating Boston fans, And the fanbase being a bunch of fukkbois, it's whatever. The fact of the matter is, you are playing for the organization, and it doesn't get better than the Celtic organization. The same people that talk about how the city treated Bill Russell, warranted criticism, because the city treated him horribly, but when do you see Bill without a Celtics hat? Melo is a self obsorbed bum, it is absolutely his right to choose his destination, but NY fans can't think for a second that this has anything to do with his love for the team or the fans.
