Lopez was the best FA signing in league. I don't mind the Knicks doing it slowly vs Offering Mike Conley 30M a year.

Just get a head coach Phil

Which goes to show you cant build through FA. The only reason Aldridge walked from the max was bc he wanted a ring, which obviously isnt happening next year for the Knicks.

Ed Davis was really the only other guy I can think of who was a really solid signing.

If Durant actually wanted to come here you'd have to move Carmelo anyways. This is dumb. Paying Conley the max is a spinning your tires type of move.

Los Angeles C.A.
LOS ANGELES -- Carmelo Anthony says he had a "good" conversation with Phil Jackson about issues surrounding the New York Knicks earlier this week, but he sounds like a player eager to see what Jackson and the front office do to upgrade the roster this summer.

"It's in their court. The ball is in their court," Anthony said. "They have an opportunity, we have an opportunity to do something this offseason. We gotta do something. It's there."

Melo needs help.

He's trying to share the ball more.
He's putting more effort into his defensive game and rebounding.

The Knicks still struggle and often times Melo has to take over just to keep the team in the game.

Either get this guy some quality teammates or maybe deviate more from the triangle to allow his PGs to show their athleticism and create more openings.
The offense looks too rigid, the way they're currently playing.

Typical Knicks move would be to throw all their cash at Conley or Rondo and max their assets out as a lower tier playoff team

There are no quick fixes and no way for the Knicks to contend while melo has much left which is why it would make a lot more sense to trade him and start building around Kp then trying for a quick fix to placate Melo
