My goddamn self. Shout out to my real Africans
Bro, aint people funny? :mjlol:

If dude only focused on basketball and never tried to use his millions to grow, n#ggas gon say "Melo, stupid. I would've taken those millions and flipped that again and again. I'd be a billionaire by the time I reitred" :troll:

If dude talks about trying to expand himself and break beyond his comfort zone, then he's stupid and doesn't care about basketball at all.

One thing is for sure, people always going to talk.

This dude has advisors and millions for a rainy day. As long as dude doesn't drop every penny of his salary into this venture, then he'll be more than fine. But let people tell it and he'll be on the street by 2020.

Congrats for dude thinking beyond the game and starting to make moves now. As opposed to waiting until his playing days are over and he has no more millions coming in.

Peace

I was gonna post the same and said...there's no fukking point. Lol

This has to be a :troll: article, right???

I mean, they wrote this with the intent to troll us all, right???!!!
I can understand his desire to growth his wealth...but this...this is bad news waiting to happen. So many terrible gems in that article...

So that's the plan?? Invest tens of thousands of dollars and watch that bubble to a billion???!!!??? Go Melo!!
so he should be putting millions at risk first?

Notice how you didnt bold he's investing in Africa too :youngsabo:

I doubt Carmello knows anything whatsoever about tech. So he'll have to hire people who do to invest his money because he's a dumbass. Good luck with that. I'm sure he'll start the next Y Combinator :sas2:

Lot of bad quotes in that article but good luck to Melo.. He will take some L's, even most big time-seasoned investors take L's as well. Long as he has his main nest egg secure and tucked away he'll be alright. He won't end up like Terrell Owens or Vince Young

Him wanting to play for every dollar he could get is one thing, and fine by me.

Him being a pompous, ball hogging slob who just admitted in an article that he's longed to be a poser all his life is another, and that shyt is sad as fukk.

The Adrian Peterson and a ton of cases like them year made me realize one thing. These days sports are no longer about winning. The team owners and execs could give a shyt less about a championship. They care more about the PC aspect of things : if have a DUI on your record, if you got into a domestic dispute, or whether or not you like to smoke weed and what kind of tweets you send out etc etc. The actual "winning" is no longer the biggest piece of the pie chart. And Melo's team isn't nowhere close to championship contention so why even make that his sole focus?

You know that something is wrong with the system when players get asked a question by the reporters and they give an honest answer and get fined by the league then . Fined for answering a question. We as fans been conditioned by the frequency of this happening that we don't even realize how fukked up it is. Athletes are forced to answer questions for ten minutes, and if you answer a question wrong you lose tens of thousands of dollars for you opinion.

The whole idea of a championship is just a big illusion for the fans while they dig into our pockets, and Melo sees that. So you can't knock him for realizing the big picture. ( I think LA LA has a lot to do with this also) But his life is not going to be defined by what happens on a wooden court. Melo is shooting for the moon and trying to create more opportunities for black people.. Kinda like what Jay-Z did with his career. And to that I say :salute:

10 years from now, he'll still be on top:takedat:

...albeit, it'll probably only be due to entrepreneurship:yeshrug:

Melo, my Knicka 4 Life, tho:salute:

I wonder if he will use more of the advisors that 50 uses since he is a part owner of #smsaudio
