Yea I thought the trade talk would come in year 2 of the contract. After the knicks get into free agency couldn't sign anyone significant and fill the roster out overpaying for Mario chalmers.

Then once they got knocked out the 1st rd next season I figured the trade talks would come

This dude might be trying to get outta there come Monday :laff:

You can't make this shyt up :mjlol:

Lebron tried to show you the way melo.....again!

But you choose to not take wise advise from one smart dude in king james

Could have just signed a 2 year deal in chicago like lebron and wade did, then cash out after that

But Nope YOU Gotta Be A greedy hoe :heh:

We really dodged a bullet.

The thing is the Lakers are too far bad at this point for them to make a deal like that imo...they're not making the playoffs this year...and a Melo/Kobe tandem would be a disaster.
As a laker fan I don't want melo anywhere near my team but as a fan of fukkery melo/Kobe/young on court at same time the fukkery would be legendary

NON STORY, Berman wrote that bullshyt rumor

BOSTON -- Carmelo Anthony's agent says a published report stating that he is considering waiving his no-trade clause to green light a trade for the New York Knicks is "nonsense."

"Carmelo, as always, is committed to the Knicks," Leon Rose, Anthony's agent, said in a text message to ESPNNewYork.com on Friday. There have never been discussions about trades or wanting to leave New York. Any story, rumor, report to the contrary is utter nonsense."

The New York Post reported Friday that Anthony would be willing to drop the no-trade clause if the Knicks found a trade partner suitable to Anthony's liking.

Anthony signed a five-year, $124 million contract -- which included a no-trade clause -- prior to this season.

The Knicks, who have last 10 consecutive games, have stumbled out of the blocks to a 4-20 start this season and are just one-half game ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers, who are last in the Atlantic Division.

Anthony has expressed frustration with the team's struggles -- the worst start in the 69-year history of the franchise -- but has not considered leaving the organization, Rose said.

Anthony is battling a sore left knee. His availability for Friday's game against Boston is unclear at this point.

Continue to give Marc Berman & Chris Broussard credit.

He will get shipped to Brooklyn for joe johnson and d will and another player..

:whoa: Phil aint taking joe contract.... As much as the russians would love to trade for melo nets and the knicks dont do business at all...plus Dolan would NEVER trade him to the nets.

Melo and Kobe on the same team would be pure entertainment, whether it ends up bad or good for them

No one would take him at this point, not even the Lakers. His contract wouldn't have hurt so bad because Pau would have re-signed, but now that he's in Chicago, it's not worth it.
