The team probably looks at the guys they'll be getting back from suspension/injury next year along with the guys this year and know that they'd prefer to make a run these next two years with a vet rather than rookie/unproven qb

GM Kiem is definitely saying we are at a win-now mode. This is definitely our year to grab it all, and it would've alot better if D-Weed was still here. Our window is realistically when Palmer officially retires.

Past 5 years are irrelevant. IF you judge a player by his stats alone, and not his potential then Kurt Warner would've never had his career resurrected in AZ, amongst other players who drank the fountain of youth in AZ. Palmer is doing what a good QB needs: taking care of the ball, manage the game, and throw that long strike downfield.

BTW THIS year, Palmer is undefeated with the Cards 7-1
Cutler is 3-5 this year.

WINS is all it matters. ANd we can break it down, who is having the BETTER stats from the last two years, because of coaching and talent changes, the last 5 years are meaningless.
