"Carson Wentz is a top 5 QB"
"Carson Wentz is not injury prone"

He said that?

Never wanted Wentz.
Luck retiring out of nowhere is hard to deal with, but Indy has been throwing wild darts.

Gave Brissett a big contract then backed off him after one season.
Gave Rivers a big contract so we could play in the wildcard.
Traded for Wentz because who wouldn't want a QB with injury history and questionable production.

Maybe he shocks me but he's making a bad first impression.

Who did you want? We were scraping the bottom of the barrel with the remaining QB options.

I honestly believe Indy's ceiling is limited until we draft a QB. All the stopgaps have done is kick the can down the road.

Wentz is especially dangerous because he has the potential to bomb out AND cost us a 1st next year, prolonging the process even more. I don't think they were in a good spot to do it this offseason, but that's partially because of the other things they've done at the position.

Ignoring Watson's issues (which are BIG but not performance-related)...Indy might have the worst QB situation in the AFC South even with a healthy Wentz.

I personally think we should have rocked with Brissett. Yeah his potential was limited but at the very least we could have stockpiled talent thru the draft/FA until we get a better QB option…we have a damn good team but it won’t matter if we keep striking out with QBs.

Team may very well just be mediocre for a while, unless like you said Ballard decides to trade up to draft a QB. I have a hard time seeing this team tank like it’s 2011 again, seeing as the roster is just way too balanced.

Still would like to see Eason get those in-game reps just to see what we got there. There’s an extreme likelihood of him not being good, but if there’s potential…..we could build from that. Dude has one of the best arms in the league, yet for some reason the game just ain’t reasoning with him between the ears.

They were probably better off squeezing another season out of Rivers. At least he is durable.

For real, Philip played through a turf toe last season. And this dude can’t even make it through training camp. :snoop:

Cabela Man praises God all the time and still can’t catch a break. :dead:
