Ok we all know P and No Limit was copying tons of Cash Money's success formula, with different results
However, we ain't talkin' too much about Cash Money copying NL
Juvenile coming with the Soulja Rags album in 97, copying the successful NL soldier trend/slang, while BG, UNLV and the other CMR rappers rarely (never?) had any lyrics/relation bout army/soldier shyt
Ballerblockin' soundtrack in 2000 featured the same guests that were on all those NL soundtracks/compilations (DSH, Mean Green) years ago: UGK, 8Ball/MJG, Mack 10/Comrads, E-40

at CMR biting No Limit when they were the #1 indie label in NO and doing true NO/Southern rap when P was trying to sound like a Bay Area nikka
You might be on to something here. In the Mr. Serv On interview I posted not to long ago, he said that him, Mystikal and C Murder were all in the military. You can see the military slang and dress in Mystikal's music prior to NL too. Even with his team being named The Boot Camp Clicc.
