Problem is the music industry simply doesn't generate the kinda cash they claim they will pay these artists. The entire music industry only generates about 2 billion in revenue annually. Sohh this tells me most mainstream artist aren't even balling like that. The labels give them an image of wealth. Also this tells me the rest just get ripped off believing they really gone see that bread. How can an industry that only generates 2 Billy a year have sohh many millionaires brehs? Something not adding up

because they are millionaires from other investments. If an artist is getting 10k+ a show and does 20 shows how much is that?
that same artist puts the money in some investment. Wham, a millionaire. He might not be a millionaire directly from music, but he is a millionaire.

music is just the jumping point to branch out into other ventures and deals. Hence the rise of 360 deals becuase labels now more than ever want a cut of artist revenues outside of music.
But you are correct - the big names do make a lot of money but most artists are not balling like that. Image is everything in entertainment
