I hate when rappers talk about not battling an unsigned artist cause there's nothing to gain. BS. What they are really saying is that they don't want to get embarrassed nor do they want to help an unsigned artist get noticed, or even potentially signed. it's not like before anyway...labels don't even pay attention to skills anymore, it's all about marketing the package. That's why they aren't being signed because they don't see the potential to make "hits". This is also why established artists aren't even trying to polish their skills. If someone wants to battle you, step up and do it. You'll get the streets behind you and you'll help someone else along the way...and now that I think about it, Meek has never really battled. He had beef with Reed Dollaz, Joey Jihad, Quilly Millz, etc etc but battling someone he never participated in. And Philly has a rich history of battles...So Cassidy would never battle Reign Man (Izzie Forreal) because Reign isn't signed.
