I really wanna know who all these nikkas are that Cassidy supposedly influenced.. sure he was widely known for his punchlines 10 years ago but even then he wasn't the first or only nikka doing that. How can u claim sole responsibility on something that a bunch of other mixtape rappers was doing at the same time as u

I always felt like Big L started it
Not saying he originated it but he took it to another level

But Banks perfected it
It's funny cuz Banks said the same shyt in some old interview ama see if I can find it

But the 'IT' he's talking about isn't punchlines or him being the first to do it. Post it in 4 days so I can neg you again for twisting that mans words

"Like the new way of rapping, like piecing up multi syllables, SAYING MORE BARS, that's what changed rap and I think I'm responsible for that. PUNCHING ALL THE TIME"

Misleading thread title. People should watch the entire video & not just skip to part mentioned in the op.

I get what he's saying but he's still feeling himself way too much... and he definitely wasn't the first rapper who was rapping with the style he described.. Not only did Big L do it before him & better than him, u could argue Ras Kass and Crooked I did (actually, still do) the same shyt better than Cassidy (did it before him too). shyt, even Chino XL did what Cass described before him & arguably did it better than Cass too. And those rappers ain't the only ones.

much respect to Cassidy because he was an elite lyricist in his prime but... nah.
