To summarize all the fukkery from both sides this is what I think happened
The stuff Cass is saying in this particular interview seems the most likely to me because it doesnt seem to favor anybody's image. That happened first.
Cass being the known person got credit for the body because he did do jailtime for involuntary manslaughter. The news outlets also saying "rapper facing murder charges" probably helped in that.
When Ar-ab got out and finally started putting out music he started claiming that body for street cred and believability reasons. He maybe went overboard with how gangster he was when doing it.
Cass fell back and didn't really refute those claims because he didn't want any drama and OBH really bout that life.

I believe Cassidys version of Ar-Abs ppl snitching, Ar's mentioned this in songs himself and Shady Black said near enough the same thing.
Might be the reason Cass is speaking on it now knowing Ar and Shady both have already more or less stated this so Ar can't really have a problem with Cass telling his side of it.
