Casting don cheadle as war machine was always a mistake

He’s just the furthest actor I would use for the role. He’s good in certain kinds of roles, he was great as Miles Davis, but he doesn’t make sense as war machine and I think they should have just paid Terrence Howard more money. He brought so much more to the role and filled it better. Cheadle just comes off as a forgettable sidekick

I think everyone agrees that Terrence should have been paid. He played the role well and IIRC was short changed once the movie did really well. Which is wild, as one of the FEW Black men even the damn MCU, they went straight to cheaping out on him. shyt is a terrible look.

But I haven't been like, especially disappointed with Cheadle because they haven't done much with the character honestly. I think they are prepping a show for War Machine though? So maybe we will see. I'll reserve judgement till then.

Not disparaging anybody he just wasn't a good choice for the role. That’s all. They should’ve kept Howard

Don Cheadle is a dope dramatic actor. But a terrible choice for superhero movies

Don Cheadle looks old and weird in that role. He doesn't have the look. In promo work he'd look woefully out of place in the suit. Would have made a better MCU villain in my opinion.
