Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 thread

LOS was an underrated classic. Never understood the hate. I thought that shyt was beautiful and story was piff.

The hate comes from a few things to die hard Castlevania fans:
1. Old Castlevania fans were upset that IGA was suddenly thrown in the bushes in favor of a reboot from a western dev team with a track record.

2. The game played similar to God of War and Shadow of the Colossus but only not as polished.

3. The music went from catchy, memorable tunes to epic Hollywood orchestral music.

4. It's a 3D Castlevania game and those are at best and it's not another copy and paste 2D SOTN clone, which they got several of them already (I prefer a Super Castlevania 4/Rondo of Blood type game anyway so)

5. Some fans don't like the story with the first Belmont being Dracula and other things.

Some of the hate I can understand but I liked the game on it's own merits and im still gonna get LOS2 just to see how it all ends. But I would like a 2D Castlevania game again, no 2.5D bullshyt.

Cant wait. I might just run Lords of Shadow again just to prep for this experience. LOS probably one of the best 3rd person action games ever. I hope this carries the tradition of boss fights.

Im playing thru the LOS again and i forgot how horrible the camera is and the music came st8 from The Hobbit. Those are my only complaints, the story, levels and graphics are good.

Im waiting on this game, from what i saw on youtbe the gameplay looks ill. I never understood how GOW could get away witg being the same game 3-4 times and get high scores from nikkaz

Yeah there were too many bright areas in the first game, they were pretty to look at but out of place for a Castlevania game. The castle chapters were dope tho, but that brown ass Land of the Dead shyt?

Yep. I wouldn't mind a decaying world like they had in the legacy of kain series. That shyt was gutter but still remained beautiful.

Demo seemed dope. I like the darker tone already. Music seemed a lot more sinister with still an epic feel.

Looks like this maybe the first game I actually purchase on release date.

Somebody ripped the entire soundtrack on to Youtube. Some of it sounds like the first game and some of it sounds like it came out of Deus Ex

Heard it got an iffy review from game informer. LOS1 didn't get great reviews either for real but I was surprised still. Getting on PC so I may wait to see if greenman or cdkeyshere gets a decent price
