With the amount of written history this world has, I find it absolutely stunning that people can be stuck going in a single direction when there's nothing to stop you from building a hybrid of what works. If you want to follow the Socialist methodology, that's fine, but consider what would logically benefit your people in the long run. What's the point of sticking to your guns if you have no ammo?

They've kept the United States at bay since the 60's, had they not, Castro would've been out the gate along with his family. Puppet leader would've been ruling the land.

If they weren't under an embargo from America they'd be Scandinavian status.
