took my nephs to the early screening today
this was generic as fukk...seems like Garfield was inserted into whatever story they wanted to tell/already had
pratt being a shytty voice actor aside...this was nothing like garfield's characterization in the comic strip or 80s cartoon.

mario gave them all the wrong data. in no way shape or form is pratt giving off new york italian energy but the damn movie made money so they are just going to plug and play him in any cartoon now. if garfield is a success, he will be scrooge mcduck with no accent next.

But if you're expecting garfield...it isn't garfield.

VERY corny throughout and just not very interesting in the first half.
Story/action picks up in the second half, but still very uneven.
Story as a whole was really like…hunh/what?
Just not very believable, which may sound silly given that is a movie about a talking cat….but, y’all know what I mean.
The kids thought that it was “OK”.
