I've never seen any of the Twilight flicks but this movie was pretty legit and wasn't on some teenybopper bullshyt. very well-acted, had a good script and as far as the violence, could've easily been R-rated if not for a few edits

SPOILERS: i agree. What made the 1st one special was the kid on kid violence. But the 2nd one felt like other survivor movies I've seen. It's sorta like Reality TV (i.e. Survivor). The concept was cool at first. But the 2nd one with the Survivor All Star theme made it less special. Doesn't mean I didn't like it. Especially when they started facing challenges and the game changes. And the end was cool too. Movie looked better but I'm surprised these critics gave it this much love. This sorta reminded me of Ender's games with the twist and waiting for the next one. I wouldn't watch this again unless I was going to see the 3rd one.
its one of those things where if you read the books, you pretty much feel compelled to see the flicks. at least thats how i feel. the fact that they are breaking up the 3rd book into two movies is whack to me, but you know they are trying to get paid, so its whatever.
i think there a parts that while they seem boring in the 3rd book, may translate better on film. what i think they did a good job of conveying in the 2nd film, is how bad things can go when 1 person, or group of people has total absolute control/power. we'll see how that flips in the 3rd movie.
