Abut a metric ton, 1400 kilos or so, worth like 3,000-5k in Colombia. Not really that big of a deal, but someone is furious, the effort to get in all the way to NY, only to have to seized. I doubt this was routine interdiction. This was a major play, someone was confident this would get through, and it didn't. People don't like to risk a whole 1500, better to break it into 10 different shipments.

I dont think money exchanges hands until the product is delivered so nobody is losing alot of money. They only go after people that steal from them. Like the other poster said all they need is 1 out of 10 to get threw and they good. Whats gives it value is the legality and demand it has in the USA.
