I place the blame on Dan Gilbert and Lebron, but I would place more blame on Gilbert even more because he is allowing Bron to play him again with those moves like the first time. First off this Cavs team has about a two to three year window to win a title, but may never be able to find the right pieces to win because they formed the wrong core and took in players with these recent moves that will not resign with them because they will get better deals from other teams once they are free agents. Lebron, Kyrie, Love(once he signs his max deal), and Varejo will all be making 70 million combined between the four of them. They have to resign Tristan who is asking for 12 million, but will probably get a similar deal like Varejo. They have to pay Jr Smith 6 million next year again because of his player option. Iman Shumpert will not resign with them because they will try to low ball him, but he will find a team willing to pay him 5 to 6 million annually becuase Sefalosha got that deal from the Hawks and he is coming off the bench making that. They have to pay Mosgov 5 to 6 million another year, but he is not a true rim protector, but can rebound the ball well. Even with the Tv deal kicking in 2016, they will be well above the cap in which they are now in because of those recent deals. If I was Dan Gilbert I would have been very stern with Bron in that meet up because I would have known that I'm getting a declining player who will try to use me again because I'm coming from a losing position. The reason why they may never win is because they have tied in most of their cap money into a shaky core. Pat Riley was able to make Wade, Lebron, Bosh, Haslem, MIller, Allen, and Battier take discounts. Riley tied in most of his money into proven players, and got them to take less. Quality free agents will not be taking discounts to come play in Cleveland with a declining Bron and questionable Front Office.
