Unless that Nets draft pick winds up being an above-average perimeter defender I don’t think much will change in Cleveland.

I don't think any young superstars will be available for a late lotto
No young superstar will be available period:yeshrug:

Remember when dudes called me crazy when I said that pick was falling out of the top 5? :jbhmm:

Cavs waited too long, teams know that pick isnt going to be as nice this year and the pick isnt as coveted.
The pick will be a great pick. Thats why the cavs want to keep it. Unless a player can put them on the warriors level why would they trade the pick especially with bron possibly leaving?

I agree, but what your saying is not synonymous with what the Cavs FO is trying accomplish. All reports have been suggesting that the Cavs want to secure another player that will help them beat the Warriors and also persusde LeBron to stay. They should keep the pick and tell him to kick rocks if he doesnt like it, but that doesnt seem to be the case.

Also if that pick falls outside of the top 7 (Bagley, Ayton, Bamba, Doncic, Porter, Young, Sexton are my top 7) theres a tremendous dropoff in talent IMO from that point forward.

That pick could still be top 5. Nets are only like 3 games ahead of last place.

Nets are getting Russell and LeVert back from injury and they added Oak. Meanwhile some bad teams are getting worse or planning to. We traded Niko, Gordon is being shopped, Lou and DeAndre are getting shopped, Clarkson, etc.

Its not looking good

Coming into the season they were hoping cousins,pg,or AD would be available. As the season went along those became pipe dreams:manny: There's no more game changers. I could see them moving their own pick which is getting better by each loss:lolbron:

I didn't. The Nets coach is really good. I expected them even in their bad state to overperform.
