You said they should keep both picks...yet they need a big man. Big men are slim pickings as is. The one scenario with the most noise is getting DeAndre and the Clippers aren't giving up DeAndre without one of those 2 picks.

Why trade a pick for a guy who may be a rental? Cavs have to think long term. Their bench needs youth.

Because you're gunning for title #2 right now. There is no young rim protector with 2+ years left on his deal on the market and none in free agency unless the Jazz say fukk 8-10th place we're tanking.
Scoring is not the issue...I was saying this when everyone kept clamoring for Love for Melo. Cleveland scored 125 points and still lost by 25 a couple of weeks ago. They do not need another "Kyrie type scorer". They need someone to bother Steph or Klay (or Kyrie because right now I have Boston beating the Cavs) or challenge drivers at the rim. CJ helps them score 130 to give up 135 every night.

Like I said, there's no one on the market, that really goes for the athletic 6'5"/6'6" 3&D SG type also. So it sounds like no trade will be made, LeBron leaves and the picks get kept anyway

You aren’t going to bother them without players that can score. Any purely defensive player we get they’ll take them right out the series by not guarding them. We can’t go into a series with IT he’s just to small and not good enough against the Warriors. CJ has killed the Warriors often. We need a CJ and more.
