I didn't compare him to Darko, I was talking about how Pistons passing on Melo to take a unproven big man...
And yes, I think Randle is better than Embiid. He is better rebounder, much stronger and I think he will have a better rookie season as well. He averaged more points and rebounds than Embiid on a equally talented team
Your point still doesn't make sense, Darko was sight unseen and only had workouts for people to go off of, where as we saw what Embiid is capable of in game settings.
Only way Randle ends up better is if Embiid suffers a career ending injury, Embiid will have a bigger impact on defense than Randle can even hope to have. Centers take longer to develop, so saying Randle averaged more pts/rebs doesn't really mean much, Robinson's college numbers blew Drummonds out the water and we saw how that turned out.

Malta Breh...Randle has a lot of heart and is a good rebounder you don't think he can become a top PF? Talent and potential wise I feel Embiid but bigs don't pan out oftenoften
He's also almost exactly the same size as the aforementioned Thomas Robinson, with a shorter reach and wingspan. I don't care about heart, again Thomas Robinson has a lot of heart as well, give me the legit 7 footer with a post game over the PF that's about the same size as some SFs.
Randle won't be a game changer at PF, and his defense won't have nearly the same impact.
Looking at the numbers he has higher potential and better scoring ability then Thomas rob right..
You're talking about a potential franchise 5, vs what could be a pretty good PF.
