Told cavs fans before the season started to expect lots of losses early on. I knew shyt would get ugly:francis: An older team without their pg,with lots of new pieces, guys having to adjust to new roles after being the lead ball handler throughout their career is a recipe for disaster. Then you know the older guys are going to pace themselves to save energy. Which is horrendous because the defense was already lacking. So I'm not really worried about the 1st half. Just stay healthy and work out the rotation. After the break I need to see some consistent play on D heading onto the playoffs.

I know Lebron superteams usually don't take the regular season seriously, but like I said in the other thread, Cavs aren't making the Finals. If they meet a team like Philly who could end up putting everything together heading in the first round of playoff they are losing.
That’s a bold ass statement :picard:

Bro please search cleinb in the coliseum

I love Lebron..

There is a 50/60% chance IT4 may never be the same player he used to be. You're wilding
No I said he's rehab to play is going great. Meaning he'll be healthy enough to play. Im not expecting the same player before the injury either:whoa:

I agree with you @Gil Scott-Heroin About the warriors. But I still see Holes in their bigs although how they are losing is different. And they've had so many close games or games they are coming from behind. Against wiz with no good bigs they had to make a comeback..thrn against AD and cousins they had no answer. Against Gasol they had no answer. Drummond had 18 rebounds. He's not a good scorer like the others mentioned.

To play Zaza means you'll compromise because he won't put up numbers. He just plugs in. To play Javale means you compromise on awareness and IQ from that position. To play draymond means he won't be able to check these really bigscorers like cousins, ad, Gasol. I want to see them against kristaps and enes as well.. They won't have anyone for embiid and Simmons combined.

I like David west and looney but they are not top options to play heavy minutes. If someone asked me where GS hole is I'd say there. If I was to try and get a team to best them both I'd focus on getting good Big's. But there's something in these close games and loses they've had that makes me want to wait to see whether it's real or part of the kinks they are working out.

Some people forget that Lebron had tendonitis during his 3rd season. He's learned how to pace himself over the course of a season.Expecting Lebron to go all out during his 15th season, with the amount of minutes that he's accumulated,at his age,is just stupid.Other players need to start carrying their weight(JR,TT)..As Lebron said during the post game,"It's not even November".....Most of these teams peaking now will be gasping for air at the end of the season.Like really, are we going to argue with Lebron's results over the last 7 seasons(7 trips to the finals)...Cleveland's health is more important than home court advantage...Coach Lue should sit TT,and play Zizic. It's only October.Give ZIzic an opportunity before you banish him to the bench.

Again, it's not their bigs that are the issue, it's the fact that they aren't consistently committed as a team to playing defense 48 mins a night, this early on in the season. Which is why they've had so many close games against all different types of teams, because it's not just one area which has been letting them down.

I mean they had arguably the best defense last season with the same frontcourt rotation:

#2 in defensive rating - only marginally behind SA (all the while playing at the 4th-fastest pace, typically slow-paced teams are the best defensive teams)
#1 in opponent FG%
#1 in opponent 3-pt%
#1 in rim protection
#1 in blocks
#1 in steals
#1 in deflections
#2 in contested shots

You probably won't find a more versatile defensive frontcourt than the Warriors.
Against wiz with no good bigs they had to make a comeback..thrn against AD and cousins they had no answer. Against Gasol they had no answer. Drummond had 18 rebounds. He's not a good scorer like the others mentioned.
No team in the league has an answer for AD and Cousins, they're one of the most talented frontcourts in NBA history. I don't really see how you can use them as a reference for the Warriors having "holes in their bigs" on defense, when the same could be applied to every team. Plus Draymond + GS bigs limited Boogie on offense in nearly every single game last season:

13 points on 6-14 shooting, and 3 turnovers
32 points on 13-30 shooting, and 7 turnovers
17 points on 4-11 shooting, and 7 turnovers

Draymond, especially, has a lot of success when guarding him.

And Durant actually defended AD well whenever he was on him too (because of his length/mobility) -

I mean you're not gonna find another team in the league who has the defensive personnel to guard Cousins and AD like the Warriors.

Gasol was on fire that game, and the Warriors had no answer for him, but again that was only one game, when if you look back last season (and even seasons before) Draymond has defended him as well as anyone. There was a game last season where Draymond had 10 steals and 5 blocks against the Grizzlies (a # of them on Gasol):

Drummond had 18 rebounds in 41 mins against the Warriors, 8 points on 23% shooting
Drummond had 17 rebounds in 34 mins against the Clippers - 15 points on 70% shooting

I mean shyt, Drummond ended up being more productive against the Clippers who have DeAndre Jordan.

I think you're exaggerating the inabilities the Warriors bigs have on defense, especially trying to group them in with the Cavs bigs.
