it's easy to say that, but the cavs did win a title with love....which was the point...for the future of the team, it looks like a bad trade, but for the present, it worked out for both teams...
They would have won the title with Wiggins, Love gave them 9ppg in that finals and him getting hurt and missing game 3 is exactly why the Cavs found out running with two SFs (Richard Jefferson) worked against that Warriors team.

as for love, pg, and butler:
i think this whole thing was media created...we never heard anyone from the cavs say love was the piece they talking about moving, it was all the media with unnamed 'sources'....the same media that's been trying to trade love from the cavs since he got there....if the cavs wanted to trade love, it wouldve been after the chip last year....
also, for the most part, love played well in the finals...it was thompson that played like shyt for the most part....
anyway, i dont think love was ever on the table...i think the cavs were trying to figure out a way to get pg or butler with anyone not named bron, kyrie, or love....

it's easy to say that and name hypothetical things, but we dont know...we dont know how wiggins development wouldve been playing beside bron & kyrie, what other moves the team wouldve made, etc...what we do know and the things we can actually go off of are that the cavs won a chip with love, which was the point of the trade....
i'm even willing to say: knowing what they know now, they'd still make the trade...cause they a chip....

It never made sense for Indiana or Chicago to want Love for their star in the first place. Especially Chicago... Jimmy has at least two more years under contract.
If Love averaged 26/14 in Minny and couldn't sniff the playoffs, and was marginalized to the extent that he was on a contender, what is he going to do for either of those teams? Put them in purgatory/middle of the pack at best. Not to mention he is bouncing the first chance he gets.
